A Beginning

Long before there were rooms to design, there was a shoreline.

A quiet stretch of tide, a pocket full of stones, and the slow understanding that beauty was already here — patient, unhurried, worn smooth by something greater than trend.

The Stone Method began there.

Creation is the First Studio

I have never found a color more honest than limestone at mid-morning. I have never found a texture more considered than driftwood after a decade in the tide. I have never seen a composition more perfectly balanced than a single olive branch against a whitewashed wall.

These are the references I return to. Not paint chips. Not trend forecasts. The quiet, weathered materials that have always been here.

A beam becomes beautiful because it has held a roof through centuries. A linen sheet becomes beautiful the tenth time it is washed.

The Stone Method is the practice of designing for that kind of beauty — the kind that only deepens with time.
